What is SEOR?
SEOR is a research institute that operates independently under the umbrella of the Erasmus University Rotterdam as part of the Erasmus School of Economics. SEOR endeavours to gain a better understanding of socio-economic issues. In doing so SEOR hopes to contribute to solving socio-economic problems in a way that is scientifically justifiable.
Science and Practice
With SEOR science meets practice. Staff of SEOR are highly experienced in efficiently and effectively applying scientific knowledge to practical research that benefits the client. Scientific foundation and objectivity are the keynotes.
SEOR provides research and advisory services in five core areas of expertise:
|-||Education and Training|
|-||Sectors and Innovation|
SEOR operates world-wide for a variety of clients. Ministries, parliament, regional and local governments, sector organisations and firms are among the clients in the Netherlands. Outside the Netherlands SEOR works for, among others, the European Commission, the World Bank, regional development banks and organisations of the United Nations.
The Erasmus University Rotterdam Holding offers a limited number of research bureaus the opportunity to make use of the services of the University. SEOR is among these offices as it is part of the Erasmus School of Economics. Thanks to this structure SEOR can make use of the University’s varied academic and professional sources and those of other companies that belong to the Holding. In particular, there is a close collaboration with the Erasmus School of Economics of the University.
