Niek de Jong is a senior researcher at SEOR. He is an economist with 20 years of experience in analysis of social and economic information and in policy analysis and evaluation. His main areas of expertise concern labour market analysis, labour market policy, income distribution and public expenditure. He has broad international experience acquired through working in various research and consultancy projects commissioned by the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the EU, Sida, the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and various UN agencies. His publications include several journal articles and book chapters.
Before joining SEOR in 2007, he worked for many years as a lecturer and project staff member at the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague.
